Dear Pat, Doug and family,
There are no appropriate words for a parent that has lost a child. We have good memories of all the years of soccer spent together. Hope happy times will bring you a measure of comfort.
Please accept our sympathy and prayers,

I am so saddened and shocked by this terrible news. I attended school with Doug from grade school through high school. He was sensitive and sweet and kind- so so kind to everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I cannot imagine the heartbreak they're all going through. So very sorry for your loss.

Always such a serene and wonderful friend to all in our town of Sparta.
Great baseball memories of Doug and Rick with his family and ours. So patient learning while disliking Algebra...
We are making a donation to Izzy's Place Senior Dog Rescue in his memory.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Doug. Im sure your parents and Pam will miss you. You were always full of life. Riding your dirt bike with Jason and Greg. Your love of your dogs! Sweet Pam by your side. Being a groomsman in Jason and Danielles wedding. Always having a big smile . Your love of London. It was fun with you and Pam showing us around the city. I wish you peace. You are one of a kind.... the best. God bless you

Growing up with Doug for many years in Sparta, from Helen Morgan School through Sparta High, I honestly can't think of a time he didn't have a smile on his face. That's all you need to know; he was a kind, happy guy and a friend to everyone. Such a terrible loss. He and his family will be in my prayers. God bless.
