Harold Verge Obituary

VERNON -- Harold R. Verge, 56, of Highland Lakes, died suddenly at home on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. Born in Englewood, he was the son of the late Harold J. and Jeanette V. (Newman) Verge.

Mr. Verge had been a resident of the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Township since 1987, having previously resided in Garfield. Over the past few years he was self-employed as a forklift mechanic. He was involved with the Vernon Ice Hockey League.

Mr. Verge is survived by his wife, Karen (Rand) Verge, of Highland Lakes; a son, David Verge, of Barry Lakes; three brothers and three sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon. Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m.

Donations in his memory would be preferred, and may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
