Marie Ann DeWitt

VERNON - Marie Ann DeWitt, 72, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at her daughter's home in Vernon. Mrs. DeWitt, daughter of the late Hubert and Florence (Mathews) Clark, was born in Bloomingdale May 6, 1940. She grew up in Bloomingdale and had resided in the Glenwood section of Vernon since 1974.

Mrs. DeWitt was predeceased by her husband, Todd P. DeWitt, in 2012, and by a daughter, Dana Springstead-DeWitt, in 1990. She is survived by her children, Russell Congleton, of Clinton, Sherry Connolly, of Parsippany, Richard Springstead, of Edison, Darrin Springstead, of Point Pleasant, and Kristine Kuhrt, of Vernon; a sister, Louise Aluzzo, of Hardyston; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third St., Sussex. Private cremation will follow. Visitation was held Sunday, Dec. 23, at the funeral home.
