Catholic Prayer For The Deceased

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen. Fondly, Gemma Jean King

God of power, who enlightens the world and dispels the darkness of ignorance and sin, (as we remember the Virgin Mother of your Son, let the light of these candles illuminate our hearts and minds, that they may reflect always the splendor of Christ, who is Lord for ever and ever, Amen. Ava

Joannie, you and I met years ago while working at the AG's office and fell out of touch when I accepted another position. Still, when reading about the passing of your mother, my heart went out to you. This is not an easy thing to process but I know your faith will see you through. With my love and blessings, Ava
