BRANCHVILLE --Nicholas A. Marino, 24, of Branchville, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015.

Born in Newton, he was a lifelong resident of Sussex County.

A graduate of Pope John XXIII High School class of 2009, he also attended William Paterson University as well as Sussex County Community College. Nicholas was a true Dallas Cowboys and New York Knicks fan. He enjoyed all types of sports as well as cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his father, Frank Marino, of Toms River, and his mother Sharon (Bridges) Marino, of Branchville; his brother, Michael J., also of Branchville; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Doris Marino, of Frankford; his maternal grandmother, Helen Bridges, of Lafayette; his aunt, Eleanore Shaffer; as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Dec. 28, at 10:30 a.m. in the Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, Branchville. Interment will immediately follow in the Branchville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St. (Route 206), Newton.
