Sussex - Phyllis M. Conklin, age 84, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Homestead Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Frankford. Born in Port Jervis, New York to the late Harvey and Ada (Goble) Potter, Mrs. Conklin had lived in Sussex County all of her life. She had been employed as a Line Supervisor at Econo Pak in Sussex before her retirement. Besides her parents, Mrs. Conklin was predeceased by her husband, Robert G. Conklin, Sr.; her sons, Robert Conklin, Jr., Harvey Conklin, and James Conklin; her brothers, Harvey "Huck" Potter, Donald Potter, Fletch DeGroat, and Emmett Potter; her sisters, Anna Kays, Helen Rose, Ada Flood, and Betty Flood. She is survived by her sons, Duane Conklin of PA and Don Conklin and his wife Emily of Wantage; her daughter, Sheila Nielsen and her husband Amzie of PA; her brother, George Potter of PA; her sisters, Marion Baker of PA and Gladys Snyder of New York; eight grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday prior to the service from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation services have been held at the convenience of the family.
