Bruce Alfred Montgomery

Bruce Alfred Montgomery December 21, 1939 - December 19, 2023 Bruce Alfred Montgomery was born in Prosser, WA on December 21, 1939 to Grace Irene Croft Montgomery and Alfred Montgomery. Bruce died December, 19, 2023.

Bruce was the 7th child out of 8 children. After graduating from Cle Elum High School, Bruce took a job in Kansas City, KA where he met Delores (Dee) Earlene Francis. The two were married within two months and moved to the panhandle of Texas for a job opportunity where their first child Monte Aye Montgomery was born in Shamrock, TX.

Longing to be with family, they decided to move back to Washington and made Cle Elum, WA their home. This is where Kelton Eugene and Tamera (Tami) Earlene were born.

While living in Cle Elum, mink ranching was Bruce's trade. When the mink ranching fell, five families all caravanned to Boise, Idaho to work construction where they resided for 18 years.

The next step after all the children had graduated and moved on was a big move to Henderson, NV. Bruce worked in the construction world and was the VP over Safety and OSHA for years.

After the passing of his wife Dee, Bruce again wanted to be closer to family and moved to Ellensburg, WA. Within a year of living in Ellensburg he was introduced to Judy Kasl. They were married February 9, 2007.

Bruce was preceeded in death by his parents Grace and Alfred Montgomery, his grandson Tyler Montgomery, oldest son Monte Montgomery, wife Dee Montgomery, sister LaRhee Lewis, and brother Dean Montgomery.

Bruce is survived by his wife Judy, brothers Myron, Alton, Ronald, Claude, Orville, son Kelton and his wife Lisa, daughter Tami and her husband Donald Baker, daughter in-law Kim Mason, eight grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Bruce's biggest loves of life were his family, his horses and the mountains. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Children's Foundation Hospital, MS S-200 PO Box 5371 Seattle, WA 98145. Memorial service to be held at a later date TBA.
