Cynthia Dianne "Cindy" Braithwaite

Cynthia Dianne "Cindy" Braithwaite Cynthia Dianne "Cindy" Braithwaite, a lifelong resident of South Cle Elum, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the age of 75. A graveside service was conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Cle Elum.

Cindy was born on June 23, 1948 in Ellensburg, Washington to Victor and Frances (Dalisky) Choyce. She married Duncan Braithwaite on July 26, 1965 and together, they raised their daughter, Sheila. Cindy was unselfishly dedicated to supporting her family. She shared in her daughter's activities, helped Duncan during his logging and Firefighter Muster days, and loved adult league bowling. Cindy and Sheila teamed up in knocking down pins winning several trophies along the way.

Once her daughter left for college, Cindy started her work career. She began at Jamie's Depot in downtown Cle Elum and then spent many years working in the family atmosphere at Cavallini's Pharmacy. Cindy's life was significantly impacted by a stroke in November, 2010. Despite the permanent effects of the stroke, it did not stop her from enjoying life. Cindy and Duncan were commonly spotted around town dining at their favorite restaurants or taking long drives around the area.

Cindy lived a good life. She was loved by many people, had many friends, and will be missed.

She is survived by her husband Duncan Wayne Braithwaite, daughter Sheila Gallagher (Braithwaite), sister in-law Zoa Shumway, and brother in-law Clayton Braithwaite along with a sizable number of cousins and friends.
