Da'el Anne Hauer Da'el Anne Hauer, 41, was reunited in Heaven with her identical twin sister, Audra Hauer, on November 7, 2025 at 11:15 p.m. She left with the angels, peacefully unto Jesus, her Lord and Saviour and lover of her soul, with her mom Valerie by her side, along with close friends until her last heartbeat on earth.
Da'el graduated from Ellensburg High School 2002. She was on the Bulldog Dance Team, and the twins were very loved at EHS by peers and teachers. She excelled in literature, especially Shakespeare, and was always involved with Concert Choir and dramatic plays at school. Gaye Ott was her mentor and her favorite teacher at EHS and both twins immensely enjoyed Mrs. Ott's tutelage.
She used her exquisite God-given gift of poetry and story writing, daily writing and composing songs and poetry. She taught herself to play piano never having had lessons. Among her many works, she wrote two notable songs, the haunting "Letters to Baghdad", about her sister (after her sister's landmine tragedy in Iraq while on deployment) and "Tell Your Mom I'm Still a Cowboy", co-written with her Dad, and accompaniment by her friend Tom. She would play these songs for close family and friends (after us begging her to play and sing!) She was a very private, beautiful, empathic soul, with a wife's heart, and always giving full attention to those needing comfort and friendship and drawing them to Christ; she led many to Christ.
She wrote and illustrated a children's book, "Mr. Bermitzfer" which is being published along with much of her prose. She was described as "the next Dr. Suess" in some of her works. Many of her writings were lost in a move unfortunately.
Another gift she had besides her captivating beauty, was her intuitive way with children. Her mom often compared her to late HRH Princess of Wales Diana Spencer as children gravitated to her, and her them. She worked as a nanny many times in her life. She was a fabulous cook and hostess, well-organized, and a gifted homemaker.
After April 23, 2021, her heart was permanently broken beyond repair when her twin Audra died suddenly. Twin bereavement is the ripping apart of a single heart and soul entwined in two people.
Audra's living daughter, Hadassah, was only one year old when Audra passed, and Da'el took baby Hadassah (Haddie) along with Audra's widower, Rick, and their two large dogs, and lovingly supported and cared for them. She assumed the role of mommy, having the exact looks and DNA as her mom Audra, and Haddie and her and became very bonded. Da'el insisted the whole family be there, and she counted it all for Christ's sake and her sister's sake. She was every bit a mother to Haddie, up all night with her when needed, through teething, diapers, potty-training, pre-school prepping her and as the years went by, gradually trying to come to terms with the void of losing Audra. She never could. She always made sure to make home cooked meals on the table, a clean home, nicely decorated and the hardest thing: going through Audra's worldly goods.
She was instrumental in Audra's recovery after the war, she was a green thumb extraordinaire having 80 tropical plants in her home at the peak time, with Haddie alongside her helping! Da'el was a strong advocate of the AV1611 King James Bible, leading many to the true gospel of Christ. She was extremely kind, forgiving of everyone. This is a massive second loss for her mom, Val, and her niece, Hadassah, and to all those who knew her well.
She will be missed by her beloved family including her mom, Valerie; niece Haddie; aunt Lorelei Martineau of Eagle River, Utah whom Da'el adored; dad Jerry Hauer of Tombstone Arizona; aunt Jesse Whittom of Craig, Alaska; best friend Bridget Hoggard of Port Orchard, Washington; as well as many friends and brethren in Kittitas County that cherished her.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Roslyn Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnston & Williams. Online condolences may be left for the family at
