Del began his career in the printing business at Dieterich Post in Seattle. Learning the ins and out of the printing business proved advantages when in 1969 Del & Dianna partnered with Lynn & Sharon Briggs to purchase Olympic Blueprint in Seattle WA. Under their guidance the company grew and expanded to employing over 100 people. They moved their business from downtown Seattle to 1014 1st Ave S. by Lumen Field in Seattle buying a 5-story building to house the company and growing employee base. Del and Dianna managed and maintained the business until they sold their half ownership of the business to their partner in 1989. Del and Dianna enjoyed retirement in Eastern WA. by Lake Cle Elum in the summer and Yuma, AZ in the winter.
Del and Dianna were involved in many business interests in their lifetime outside of the printing business. Their involvement helped many family members and friends support their goal of business ownership or buying property or supporting educational goals. They were silent partners in Good Times Kawasaki Inc (1975-1980) and silent partners in Boulder Creek Enterprises Inc (The Last Resort) from 1984 to current year.
Del enjoyed his retirement snowmobiling in the winter and riding around in their jeep in the summers. They owned several street rods and enjoyed going to street rod car shows in Yuma, Puyallup and Cle Elum. They traveled by RV through many national parks and western states on their way to their winter home in Yuma, AZ. They returned to their summer home each year on Lake Cle Elum in Ronald, WA. When they sold their Lake Cle Elum home they resided in Yakima WA. Del will be missed by many. Del was intelligent, thoughtful, organized, quick-witted and knew the importance of family and friends. He leaves his mark in all our hearts.
