Dianna Hamberlin Obituary
Dianna L. (Palmer) Hamberlin September 20, 1943 - February 9, 2019 Dianna L. Hamberlin (belated notice), 75, born on September 20, 1943, passed away on February 9, 2019, in Yakima, WA. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Delaney (Del) Hamberlin. They were married on September 28, 1961.
Her mother and father preceded Dianna to heaven, Lorrayne A (Menzies) Palmer and Kenneth R Palmer. Her brother Roger Palmer is also deceased.
She is survived by her sister Louise Richards (Stan), brother-in-law James Hamberlin, niece Donna Burnette, nephews John and Kevin Richards, Sister-In-law, Judith Palmer, nephews, Shawn Palmer (deceased), Brian Palmer (Dawn), nieces DawnMarie Minor (Todd), Kelly Hahn (Doug) and many great and great grand nieces and nephews.
Upon graduating high school Dianna went to work for First American Title Company in Seattle. Starting out as a title insurance clerk she used her strong work ethic, knowledge and leadership skills to advance her career to manager of the escrow department. After they went into partnership with Lynn & Sharon Briggs buying Olympic Blueprinting in Seattle, she continued to work for the First American Title Company until Chicago Title bought the company. After much consideration she left Chicago Title and went to work in the accounting department of Olympic Blueprinting working with her husband Del and partners to help grow the company. She was controller of the accounting department and oversaw several employees until they sold the business to their partner in 1989 when they retired. They maintained homes in several cities in Western WA while running their businesses (Everett, Lynnwood & Des Moines) and Eastern WA upon retirement (Ronald, Yakima) and Yuma Arizona during the winter months.
Dianna was a good friend to many. Those who knew her will remember her kindness, simplicity, neatness, helpfulness, her smile and forever friendships. She especially enjoyed traveling with her husband in their RV. She also enjoyed traveling with friends and/or meeting new friends when making trips to Alaska, the East Coast, Cruise ship traveling and exploring National Parks. When she was at home she enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, snowmobiling in the winter, riding in their jeep in the summer and doing the accounting for their business interests while they were retired.
Dianna will be laid to rest with her loving husband Delaney (Del) at the Roslyn Cemetery in Roslyn WA for a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on April 26, 2025. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at the Roslyn Eagles in Roslyn, WA.
