George A. Sinclair

1937 - 2023

George A. Sinclair May 1, 1937 - October 13, 2023 George A. Sinclair, 86, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023 in his daughter's home after living with Parkinson's. George was born in Port Angeles, Washington to George W. and Clara R. (Hulse) Sinclair, near where his grandparents Elmer and Verna Hulse homesteaded. Later, the family moved to Des Moines for more work opportunities. When George was six years old, his father drowned and George grew up quickly, helping his mother raise himself and his two brothers - Claude (also known as Bud) and Steven. George's later siblings were Verna and Paul. George was a responsible young man, he learned early that family responsibility was first, and he carried this with him throughout his life. George was in the Navy Reserves (Oct 1954 - 1962) and began his Carpenters apprenticeship program in November 1959, completing 50 years in the Carpenters Union becoming a lifetime member in 2009.

George had much love throughout his life with two wives, a girlfriend, children and grandchildren, giving him a large sense of family, including Constance (Connie) (who passed away in 2019), with whom he had two children - Michael Sinclair (girlfriend Chris) and Carla Salldin (husband Dan and their son Adam); Linda, his brother Bud's widow, which she had three boys - Brian Sinclair, Robert Sinclair (Sheri and their son Corey (Alicia), daughters Brandy (Eric) and Sara) and Shawn Sinclair (his son Brandon) and Margaret Schober, his final love for the longest time, and she had one boy, Jeremy Schober (girlfriend Samantha and his sons Jack and Archer and her daughter Leilani). George loved family and considered us all to be his family, his kids and his grandkids.

An outdoorsman and a playful enthusiast, George lived to be outside all year around. Throughout his life he hunted, fished, hiked, camped and spent lots of time finding and exploring new places in the truck or RV. He rode his dirt bike in summer and his snowmobile in the winter, stopping at all kinds of beautiful places to take pictures and experience the beauty of his surroundings. George had some competitive nature about him and was strategic in his races, having fun and winning trophies while enjoying his outdoor adventure. George earned a lifetime achievement award for his off-road motorcycle competition racing in 2017. He loved to spend time with his family and share his sense of play with them, sharing adventures and experiences whenever they were available to be there with him.

George was known by many, some knew him as Butch, Allen or Swede. He had a poem written about him titled: Mr. Perfect. George was a kind, caring gentle man, worked hard, played hard and lived his life to the fullest. Family was the most important thing to him, and he valued all of his friendships.

At George's request, he will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at the Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn, Washington. However, we invite you to bring your stories, laughter, and cheers and join us for a Celebration of Life in his honor on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Island Lodge, 20818 Island Pkwy E, Lake Tapps, WA.
