John McHaffie Obituary
John was born October 31, 1940 in Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Port Angeles, Washington where he graduated from high school and attended Peninsula College. He was a logger, land developer, RE Entrepreneur, and spent the remaining 20 years of his career working for the Forest Service in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in ORV and recreation.
John loved the challenge of motorcycles. He and his wife Suzy of 46 years enjoyed trail riding together. John formed the Northwest Trail Riders in Seattle and put on the first Mt. St. Helens 100 trail ride.
He is survived by his wife Suzy Dohrmann McHaffie, his children Tully McHaffie and Kari McHaffie, their mother Cathie Weiss and grandchildren. John will be remembered as a friend to everyone he met. He had a servant's heart, was a godly man, and in his wife's eyes, the greatest man on the planet.
