Walter Boehme Obituary
Walter Boehme February 18, 1991 - September 12, 2024 With deepest sorrow, we announce that Walter Boehme, age 33 a beloved husband, son, brother and friend has passed away. Walter died Thursday, September 12, 2024, in his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Walter will be missed everyday by his Wife, Sophie Chauvet, his Father, Peter Boehme, Mother, Maria Boehme Willits, Sister Rachael, Brother Daniel, his paternal grandparents Pete and Toni, his Step-mother Roberta Johnson, Step-father, Daryl Willits and his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews along with his many, many friends. As a dog lover, Walter also considered his dogs Luna and Kumo as members of his family and were faithfully at his side to the end. Walter was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Anita Avery.
Walter graduated from Cle Elum High School where he was a star on the wrestling mat and shared his joy of running track with his friends. Walter ventured off to college in Canada to attend the Art Institute where he studied his love of video gaming and gaming development. Walter loved sharing his wresting experience with others and his time spent coaching middle school wrestling and with the Little Guy Wrestling League was a highlight of his life.
Walter met the love of his life, Sophie, while attending the Law Enforcement Academy. They married on June 11, 2022. They shared a bond that was filled with adventure, respect and lots of joy. They made a home together that was filled with love, animals and a large extended family.
Those that had the chance to meet Walter know what a gentle and kind soul that we have lost. Although Walter's life was too short it was full of love, joy and strong connections to his family and friends. He and Sophie traveled, they loved their dogs, he found a profession he loved and always, always put his family and friends in the center of his life.
Walter fought his battle with cancer with determination, strength and dignity. Although he has left this world, his memory will live on in our hearts, a testament to the impact he made on all that knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on September 28, 2024, at Yahn & Son Funeral Home, 55 West Valley Highway S, Auburn, WA 98001.
