Wayne Merle Ballard

1944 - 2024

Mr. Wayne Merle Ballard October 29, 1944 - October 7, 2024 Wayne was born in Bremerton, WA and raised in Cle Elum, WA. He graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1962 and joined the Navy in the fall of that year. He started a family of his own, and after his discharge from the service, landed in Lynnwood, WA and lived the rest of his life under one roof.

As a young adult, Wayne loved to hike and camp with family and friends every year. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. Family ancestry was important to him, and he was very knowledgeable about his lineage. He retired from the phone company and was happiest when he was working on a personal project of any type or scope. Engineering should have been his calling.

Wayne was born to Dudley and Viola Ballard and is survived by his brother, his son, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, as well as nephews and his first wife.

An intimate graveside service will be held with his immediate family and close friends in the Ballard family's plot at Swauk Prairie Cemetery on October 26th at 2:00pm. A celebration of life will be held at a later date so as to include more of his people.
