~ There was never a time you couldn't count on Doc! New him all of my life and his children...
When my Mother passed, the next time I saw him he cried with sympathy with me & we shared a few wonderful memories. I thought that was, well, amazing.
~ I had a small dog that became the child I couldn't have, he knew the bond I had with Bitsy. When she was going blind he knew there wasn't anything I could do for her & in his gentle way tried to tell me. I had to try which he also knew, he referred me to a specialist. Bitsy finally became totally blind. Bitsy handled it better than I did!
~ There are so many memories and they all are very special as I know of no one who doesn't or hasn't experienced , memories of his gentle ways, his {discounts} - tenderness with our pets & all of us. Doc just had that way that...y'all know. His smile that lit up the room, his sence of humor, just being Doc.
~ Then there was the day I found a lump on Bitsy's chest, I was frantic & Doc wouldn't be in office until later that next day. Being me I was going to their house, bent going, so my Mom told me that my "Fur Baby" would be fine until the next day ~ nope I had to see him. So off we went, knocked on the back door, in tears. They were eating there dinner, I apologized then asked if he'd take a look. Well being Doc he gently took her from my arms checked her & reasured me she was fine went on to explain the difference of two types of tumors.
I felt as though a giant weight was lifted, my heart was then out of my throat. I apologized again, he & Anna Mae reasured me it was fine. How many vets would do this?! So the next day I stopped at the office to pay...of course... ' Tina you owe nothing and never think twice if something like this happens again, you are always welcome' Anna Mae agreed!
~ I feel Blessed to have known this wonder man. Rest in Peace. My condolences to all the family. Anna Mae you know me well, I'm around, anytime day or night, just give me a call.
