James GREY Obituary

GREY, James R.

James R. Grey passed away in his home on Singer Island, FL, in the early morning hours of November 24, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. He was 82 years of age. Fiercely loyal to family, friends, and country, "Dick" served with distinction in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He spent the rest of his life doing what he loved - dancing with the clouds, first as a pilot with the Curtiss-Wright Corporation and then for the popular entertainer Arthur Godfrey. He later entered corporate aviation, spending many years flying for Freeport-McMoran Inc. as well as J.H. Whitney & Company. His fun-loving spirit, playful wit and compassionate heart, so evident to everyone he encountered, will be missed. A loving father and devoted husband, he leaves behind his wife Janice, son Steven, daughter Tracy Six, her husband Donald, and grandchildren Donald, Jr., Julianne and Jacqueline. Per his wishes, no funeral service will be held. For those wishing to pay their respects, donations to the Alzheimer's Association are warmly encouraged.
