Joan Johanneman Obituary
Alexandria - Joan Marie (Clemens) Johanneman, 79, of Alexandria, KY passed away on August 18th, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was dedicated to her family and was an avid animal lover. She retired from the State of Kentucky Cabinet for Health & Family Services, and took great pride in her work with the families and children. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert J. Johanneman Sr.; her siblings Joseph Clemens, Robert Clemens and Carol Clemens; son in law Nick Pearson, and step sons Dennis Johanneman and Phil Vaske.
She is survived by her children Christina (Frank) Thomas, Cynthia (Kent) Noggle, Susan (David) Saner, Laurie Johanneman, Georgeann (Nick) Pearson, Gilbert J. (Yvonne) Johanneman Jr., Eileen (Dennis) Johanneman and Diane (Phil) Vaske, 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Thursday August 23, 2018 from 10am ~ 12 noon with services beginning at 12 noon and burial immediately following at St. Stephens Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Monroe County United Ministries (MCUM) or to an organization of the donor's choice.
