John Kravec Obituary
John A. Kravec Jr., 62, departed this life on February 16, 2016 after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held at Mueller Funeral Home in Mason, Ohio on March 2, 2016, at 7:00PM. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Kravec Sr. and Nadine Janata Kravec. He is survived by his wife Debbie Kravec, son John Paul Kravec, daughter Janelle Kravec, and brother Hank Kravec and his wife Julie Sanderson Kravec, daughters Emily and Rebecca. John excelled in athletics while attending Archbishop Moeller High School and was awarded a football scholarship to Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. There, he lettered three years in football, and received a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Management in 1976, enabling him to launch a long career in manufacturing. After spending his early career employed by Firestone Tire in Cincinnati and GE Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati and Wilmington, North Carolina, he also worked for Magna Seating Systems, Delphi Corporation, and Carrier Corporation. As an expert in Lean Manufacturing principles, John led others to achieve greater efficiencies in manufacturing. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.

My deepest sympathy to Debbie, John Paul and Janie. My heart breaks for you but know you will continue to be in my prayers and thoughts. I first met your dad when our family moved into a house down the street from his. I love this picture of John ,as this is how he looked when we were in high school enjoying football games and dances. I remember vising with you all in NC with my family - it was a great time. He gave me a nickname of Buttercup (BC) and called me that to this day. I am sorry I will not make it to this memorial service as I had a trip planned and will be out of town.
