Joseph Lestingi

Covington - Joseph Anthony Lestingi, Sr., 84, husband of Mary Lee Hornbeck Lestingi, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Cold Spring Transitional Care Center. Joseph was born on April 21, 1934 in Newport to the late Frank and Margaret Spizzica Lestingi. He attended Newport Catholic High School, was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, serving on the U.S.S. Newport News and the U.S.S. Missouri and worked in the printing industry for several years after his military service. Joseph was also a 54 year member of St. Augustine Church. In addition to his loving wife Mary Lee of 63 years, survivors include three children, Joseph Anthony Lestingi, Jr.(Denise), Anna Marie Lestingi Fitzpatrick (Bill), and John Frank Lestingi (Kimberly); two sisters, Nancy Lestingi Tricase and Antoinette Lestingi Gentrup. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Lestingi. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 9:30AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at St. Augustine Church, 1839 Euclid Ave, Covington, KY. 41014. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Augustine Capital Campaign. Middendorf Funeral Home of Ft.
