DAUGHTERY
Marie Cecilia Bishop Daugherty, age 72, of Florence, KY passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014. Marie was a dedicated homemaker and faithful wife. She loved flowers and enjoyed traveling, gardening, baking, cooking and most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Bennett and Elliott Wolfe, Ian Ferguson, Molly Ashley (Terry), Anna Kirshner (John), Mary Daugherty, Joseph Franklin Daugherty IV, Katherine and Madeline Butler, Luke and Sophie Daugherty. Marie is preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Anna Mae Bishop, her son, George Wolfe Jr., her sisters: Regina (Bishop) Taylor, Kathy (Bishop) Pagalai, her brother Billy Bishop and her daughter-in-law, Denise Daugherty. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Franklin Daugherty II, M.D. (COL) USA-Retired, her son, James Wolfe (Jane); brothers: Tom Bishop, Michael Bishop (Bonnie); sisters: Sue Burkhart (Jim) and Rose Ann Howard. Step-children: Joseph Franklin Daugherty III, M.D., Mary Katherine Obradovich (David), James M. Daugherty and Sara Ferguson (Stuart); Susan P. Daugherty (Shane Lyle), John R. Daugherty (Sara), Kimberly I. Myers (Chris) Wolfe, Heather D. Myers (Robert) Reisinger, 3 great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Chambers & Grubbs Independence. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM with the funeral ceremony at 3 PM. Dr. D, I am so sorry for your loss. Marie was a lively personable lady that didn't know a stranger. I was your patient first, then I met Marie when I started going to Florence Christian Church. She spoke with me as though she had known me all of her life. She will be missed by many people whose lives she's touched, especially yours.
