Newport - Patricia "Patty" L. Buemi (nee Campbell) passed away early Saturday morning, May 15, 2021, at the UC Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Patty was born November 6, 1936 (84), and now joins in heaven her husband Paul Buemi Jr.; her parents John and Kathryn (Wagenlander) Campbell; and her siblings Jack, Peggy, Anne, Jerry, Richard, and Tom. She is survived by her sister, Rose Goetz of Indiana; her nine children, Teri (Dan) Thompson, Tony (Jamie), Chris (Cammi), Julie, Mark (Carol), Angel (Monty) Hitt, Bill (Suzanne), Paul III (Shawndra), and Tricia; thirteen grandchildren, Danielle (Cory), Lindsey (Justin), Ben (Liz), Sara (Mike), Chris (Brooke), James, Kayla, Olivia (Steve), Maggie, Nicolas, Luke, Isabella, and Lorena; and 5 great-grandchildren, Logan, Leiha, Carter, Kinlee and Ellie; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Patty loved to read, sew, and entertain. One of her greatest enjoyments in life was having her family and friends around the large dining table to enjoy her famous meatballs and spaghetti. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Patty was a member of the Holy Spirit Church (St. Stephen) and an Altar Society member. Part of her legacy was supporting her children in the Mother's Club at St. Stephen's and Newport Central Catholic High School. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral home in Newport, Kentucky. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday, May 24, 2021, at Holy Spirit Parish. Burial will be at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. The family requests that flowers be sent to the funeral home or donations sent to Holy Spirit Outreach Ministry (840 Washington Ave. Newport, KY 41071) in honor of Patty's memory.
