Roy Schaefer Obituary
Roy E., born March 25, 1934 in Newport, Kentucky. Only child to the late Edgar G. and Katherine (nee Virgin) Schaefer. Married to Phyliss (nee Bernhardt) Schaefer for 61 years; sons Richard E. Schaefer and Robert L. (Barbara) Schaefer; grandchildren, Richard E. Schaefer Jr., Ryan Schaefer, Robert Schaefer II and Madison Schaefer; great-grandchildren, Richard III, Kimberlyn, Amberlyn, and Raleigh Schaefer. Roy was a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Ohio and served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Western Hills-Cheviot Masonic Lodge #140 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Green Township Seniors. Roy was a member of the St. Peter and St. Paul United Church of Christ - Western Hills. He retired from the Cincinnati Public Schools. Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3300 Parkcrest Ln., Cinti. 45211 on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to, St. Peter and St. Paul United Church of Christ, 3001 Queen City Ave., Cinti., 45238.

When I came to the obituary page today, I saw
his unmistakable, smiling face I grew to know
from seeing him at the bank and sealing his deck.
What a very nice gentleman.
