Garry Family, Tim was my boss and mentor, later my partner and always my friend. I was among the many young lawyers at KMK who over the years were privileged to learn by his example the dedication, effort and creativity he devoted to the representation of his clients. Tim was an exceptional lawyer - among the best of the best. Sharon and I cherish the wonderful friendship we enjoyed with Tim and Sue. They were among the founding partners and spouses who created and nurtured what has made KMK the special place that it is. I learned from Tim Hurley earlier this evening that Tim had passed. We regret we were not present to share with you our thoughts and memories of Tim. To you we say of Tim Garry - A life well-lived.

Tim and I were very close friends at St. Ignatius and I visited his home many times on the west side. We remained buddies ever since, and usually talked by phone a couple of times a year. I will miss him, and I am proud to have had a friend who lived such a distinguished and giving life. I know all of you will miss him too and are extremely proud of his contributions. I will make a gift to Ignatius in his honor--truely a "man for others!"

To all the Garrys: Your dad was a gift to the world -- smart, kind, caring, skilled and generous. We were happy to know him and your wonderful mother through Nativity. He had the ability to make whoever he was talking to feel heard and valued. God speed his journey onward.

Dear Garry Family,
Holding you all close to our hearts and in prayer. What a wonderful example of God's presence and love in the gift of your dad and mom. Hoping memories and the love of the people around you bring you peace and comfort. So grateful to have known your dad! We have all been blessed by his care and love.

On behalf of the Durkins, affection and condolences to all the Garrys. Tim and Sue were very dear to our parents Lawrence and Lucile Durkin. The Garry-Durkin relationship began in the evenings of sharing and deepening faith in study clubs and in parish life at Nativity. It included being a god-parent (Daddy prayed daily for his god-children) and continued in the Garrys' attentive kindness to Mother and Daddy in their last years a kindness manifested by the next Garry generation as well. We Durkins will treasure the memory of Tim and Sue.

Condolences to the Garry family at the time of your bereavement. Mr. Garry has been and will be missed around Nativity. I will especially miss his after-Mass conversations and what a great conversationalist he was. As a parishioner and community member, he carried a lot of depth. May he rest in eternal peace.

Getting to know Tim and Sue and their family from my beginnings in Cincinnati over 50 years ago, I can't express what a pleasure it was to share with them watching their family grow and develop into the fine people they all are. Tim will be missed but he did God's work.

December 11, 2017

I recall Tim's dedication and generosity when I was General Manager of Friars Club.
He was an active board member and always went the extra distance for the Franciscans. I treasured my friendship with Tim and with Sue.
