Abren Francis Hebert, Jr. passed away peacefully in Covington, LA on Thursday, December 8, 2022, age 80 years. Native of New Orleans, long time resident of Baton Rouge, LA, former resident of Navarre, FL, and was a resident of Covington. Beloved husband of 54 years to Alleen T. Hebert. Loving father of Mark Hebert, Paul Hebert (Scott), John Hebert (Lojen) and Angelle Hebert (Nathan Sullivan). Devoted grandfather of Leon, Emeric, Gertrude, Jacob, and Anna, and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Devoted brother of David Hebert (Linda). Graduate of St. Aloysius High School, New Orleans, and of Louisiana State University (U.N.O.), Abren was a huge LSU Football fan. An accomplished musician, he played tenor saxophone in college with various bands and friends, and continued to enjoy playing all the way up to the present day. Abren retired from the insurance industry when he and Alleen moved to Navarre, FL. Devoted to every church parish he lived in, Abren served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was involved with the Men's Club at St. Benedict Catholic Church Parish. A generous and selfless man, he will be remembered by his family and friends as the most honest, caring and devoted person you could ever meet. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass to be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20370 Smith Rd., Covington, LA, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 7:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 6:00 PM.
