Alton Harry Rousseve

Alton Harry Rousseve (93) of New Orleans, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Alton worked as a Baker for the A&P Bakery until they went out of business; He went on to work for the City of New Orleans on the City Hall security force, until he retired. He was a longtime parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He was known for hitting the dance floor, but most importantly, he was a hardworking, loving, devoted husband, father and friend. Alton was preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Genevieve Ellsworth Rousseve, Daughter, Lorna Rousseve, Son, Wayne P. Rousseve (1959) and Brother Lloyd Rousseve. He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his Daughter, Maida Rousseve Metoyer (Gregory); Sons, Barry (Adrienne), Dwight (Rosalie), Kevin (Shelia) and Gary (Donna); A host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Brother in law, Sisters in law, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. Family and Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass celebrating Alton's life on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. with the praying of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Thank you to Abundant Life, for getting him out of the house and interacting with others for a few hours during the week.
