WRIGHT Alvin Wright slipped into the arms of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the morning of Tuesday, March 13, 2012. He is the beloved husband of Shirley Muse Wright. Alvin is the son of the late Richard, Sr. and Elnoria Wright, brother to Richard Wright, Jr., Leon Wright, Dorothy Byrd, and the late Lionel Wright. He is the father of Stephenie Danzella, Lisa Lawana, Alvin Michael, and Kip Anthony Wright; stepfather of Tania C. Miles. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Dr. Desiree Haynes, Alicia Parker, Shantelle Miles, Brandon and Kayla Wright; two great grandchildren: Quincy Wright and Riley Faulk; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, employees of the United States Post Office, Baptist Hospital, Todd Shipyards; members of United States Army, Sharks Social and Pleasure Club; classmates of Booker T. Washington High School; members of Corpus Christi - Epiphany Catholic Church are invited to attend the Funeral of Christian Burial at D.W. Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, LA, on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, visitation from 9am to 10am; services at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Lake Lawn Cemetery, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA.
