I'm so saddened to discover that my friend, Andrew, died. I first met Andrew in 1988 when he picked me up at the airport. His famous blue max hat and beautifully appointed taxi with the polished red leather interior and spic and span clean exterior told me this was a special guy! Over the next 8-10 years everytime I had occasion to travel to Nola (and it was quite a few times) I engaged Andrew as my driver. He introduced me to restaurants idy never think of going to, did plantation tours for friends and myself and wife, and was always, I mean always, there at the airport to pick me up or take me back. He arranged seafood packaged to go for me! There was literally nothing this man could do. When Katrina hit, I had a connection to the Nola police and they found him for me and after that I veas so relieved I sent him a small amount of money to help him through the crisis. He sent pictures of the damage to his house and to the cars. We exchanged Christmas cards over the years. I only wish I knew sooner of his passing. God speed to a truly wonderful human being.

We were honored to call Mr. Andrew J. Butler a friend although we reside in Southern California and had not seen him in several years. Our hearts are broken by the recent discovery of his passing. Although our condolences to his family are belated, they are most sincere. He was one of the finest men we´ve ever known and we will deeply miss him.

Condolences to MR. Butler daughter, grandchildren. Your Dad will be deeply missed in the neighborhood. Mr. Butler will always speak while sweeping the sidewalk and the street surrounding his corner house. His home was so immaculate people would stop and ask ( who lives in that house) I would respond Mr. Butler. He was my neighbor and friend (RIP)
