Annie Ruth King

Surrounded by family Annie Ruth Baker King fell asleep in the arms of our just God, Thursday September 29, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. God saw her getting tired and bid her to come to rest from suffering and pain. "Medea" as she was affectionately called, was 82 years old. She was born May 22, 1934 Barbour County, AL. She came to know the Lord at an early age and was baptized at the Apostolic Outreach Center in New Orleans, La. Annie Ruth was preceded in death by her father Jeff Park Baker, her mother Alma M. Baker, husband F.C. King, daughter Delores King and a sister Mary Bell Richards. She leaves to mourn her daughters Doris, Deborah (Larry) and Gwendolyn and one son Willie (Joyce). Annie Ruth. She also leaves to mourn her 9 siblings: Albert (Mildred), Alto (Aunt Mat), Sarah (Frank), Dorothy (Tom), Susie (Leonard), JoAnn, Pete (Linda), Michael (Sharon), Jeff (Willodean), 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Moore Chapel Funeral Home, Brundidge, AL from 2:00 P.M – 6:00 P.M. and A Home Going Celebration on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Troy, AL at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church for 11:00 A.M.
