Arthur Lee Truitt

Arthur Lee Truitt departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the age of 64. He was a native of Utica, MS and a resident of Harvey, LA. He was educated in the Mississippi School System. Arthur was a retired Painter/Sand Blaster of Avondale Shipyard. Beloved husband of Brenda Truitt. Loving father of Shaunda (Theodore) Tobias, Davonte Truitt, and Derek (Nina) Truitt. Son of the late Tommie Lee O'Quinn and Malendia Truitt. Grandson of the late Willie Fred Stamps. Brother of Jimmie Ray O'Quinn, Rev. Lonnie (Liz) O'Quinn, Glenn (Nicole) Truitt, Dexter Allen Truitt, Michael (Shantel) Truitt, Shelia (Rev. Rufus) Edwards, Linda (Charles) Middleton, and the late Tommie Truitt. Arthur is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Israel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther St., Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Darrell McKinnies, host pastor; Pastor Frederick L. Henderson, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the church.
