Barnie Earle Reeves, Jr. SUMMERVILLE - Barnie Earle "Buddy" Reeves, Jr. (USAF Ret.), 74, of Summerville, husband of Alice F. Reeves, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at the Medical University of South Carolina. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 7 p.m. at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 Wednesday. Burial will be at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville, at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011. Mr. Reeves was born Dec. 7, 1936, in Clanton, Ala., son of Barnie Earle Reeves, Sr., and Mamie Lucile Holdridge Reeves. He was a graduate of Chilton County High School, Clanton, Ala., and Horry-Georgetown Technical College, Conway, S.C. He retired from the United States Air Force as Senior Master Sergeant. He was a dedicated Christian and a member of Grace Christian Fellowship in Summerville. He was a charter member of Forestbrook Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach, S.C. Surviving in addition to his wife are: two sons and one daughter: Robert L. Reeves (Elza) of Louisville, Ky., James E. Reeves (Jan) of Summerville and Alice R. Gravot (Wayne) of Summerville; six grandchildren: Steven Reeves and Mark Reeves, both of Louisville, Ky., Grace Reeves of Cincinnati, Ohio, James E. Reeves, Jr., Lillie Gravot and Allen Gravot, all of Summerville; one sister: Carolyn Mims of Clanton, Ala.
