Beatrice C. Alvarez

Beatrice C. Alvarez entered peacefully into eternal rest at St. Tammany Hospital on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the age of 80. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Madisonville, LA. Beatrice attended Orleans Parish Public School System. She was a retired Cook. Beloved wife of Centeno Augustine Alvarez. Loving mother of Stephanie Hasberry, Richard (Valerie) Patterson, and the late Stephen Edward Patterson, Jr., and Jonathan Patterson. Beloved daughter of the late James Celestine and Agnes Joseph Celestine. Mother-in-law of Emily Patterson and Tammy P. Prosper. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, 2 brothers, her grandparents, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and 2 great nephews. Beatrice is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of White Chapel Baptist Church, Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Word of Truth Fellowship, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Word of Truth Fellowship, 5333 Tullis Drive New Orleans, LA on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Lawrence St. Cyr, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
