A link in the Dillard University Class of 1959 has gone to her reward. Betty and her sister Dorothy were part of our GOOD OLD DAYS at DU! Our sympathy is sent to family , friends and all who loved her and shared in her life.

Betty Jacques Francis my sister, friend and protector. She treated me as a sister, looking out for me lifting me up in sprits when I felt low and offering good advice for all situations. Most of all Betty gave me laughter when I didn't see it coming.
She will forever be in my heart. I will continue to pray for the families.

My thoughts and prayers are extended to the family, truly heaven has gained an angel. Mrs Francis left her footprints on my heart when she taught me at Capdau, the lessons were life lessons and I am forever thankful to her for that. May God bless the family, and may her soul rest in peace.

Mrs. Francis was my teacher at Capdau, and she was so funny and amazing, but yet a wonderful teacher. RIP Mrs. Francis, for you were a beautiful person on the outside and the inside, as well.

Miss Betty was my Fourth Grade English Teacher At Capdau Junior High..She was a wonderful woman, a great teacher and had a wonderful sense of humor! I worked with Betty at some schools where she served as our leader in educating children after school which was a very important task in the sixties. She was a wonderful person and will be remembered for her great leadership in education. I loved her personality and she had a smile that was very comforting to all. She will be missed and to the family grieve if you must but I know she is at peace. You have my deepest sympathy.

My condolences to the entire family. I've been friends with Angela since Dominican. We giggled and cut up a lot then and still do 26 years later. I didn't know Miss Betty well but I feel like I do through Angela's stories. We had feisty parents in common! She had some spunk from what I could tell.
