To the Melancon and Lewis family. I have known Mrs. Betty and the entire family for a long time. But be assured that she is resting in the Lord because she was a true Woman of God and she had faith. I will always remember her sweet personality and how she helped me in so many ways. My heart hurts because because another loved one has been taken from our St. Stephen family but GOD never makes mistakes and he is just and soverign. So family be encouraged and know that we will see Betty again as she and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ welcomes us into heaven. If there is anything that I can do just call on me or my family at anytime. God bless and keep you in my prayer.

I know you enjoyed tremendous love and support in your final time here, I wish I could have been more a part of that. You helped and touched so many people and I thank you as well for being there for my dad for so many years.

Betty, I have known you and Tory since 1984. I know what a loving mother and hard worker you were. I hired you at the World's Fair and you helped open the fair by providing uniforms to the 2000+ employees. Not an easy job. When an opening came up at my father's cleaners (Mercury Cleaners) you were the first person I called. You worked there (also not an easy job) and eventually owned and ran the business until your retirement. It was a pleasure, through the years, to see your devotion to your family. Tory, you and your mom had a beautiful and special mother and son relationship and you should always stand proud for the happiness you brought to her.

I remember when my Best Friend Margurite died, I cried so much and you said, don't worry, I'll be your Friend and you can call me whenever you want to. THANK YOU BETTY for being my Friend when I really needed one. Although I hadn't seen you in awhile, I always thought about you and remembered how you came to my rescue with words of LOVE & Encouragement. I'll remember the conversations we had when I did your hair a couple of times. I'll remember how much you helped me with my Mom's 59th Birthday Surprise.....You're resting now. Gone from Labor to Reward. If I live right, I know I'll see you again one day. Until that time, Rest Well my Friend. You endured until the end. I'll always love you & appreciate what you did for me in this life!!
