Barbara,
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal, and weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Sending my love and condolences to you and Brian’s family. I had the pleasure of meeting Brian at one of Ochsner’s Christmas parties and once he starts talking to you it’s like you’ve known him forever. Continue to live on the memories you have of him and they will help you get through the coming days, months, and years. Again praying that God send his angels of comfort to give you peace.
Love ya,
Carolyn

I remember the first time I met Mr. B. He was at my on-boarding training and I remember thinking, "Who in the world is this man?" Immediately, wherever he went, he lit up the room. Sure enough, he ended up being our custodian and I couldn't imagine it being any other way. Mr.B always knew how to start my mornings the right way, and that was with a big smile and a big greeting. We had great conversations and he always took care of me, whatever I needed - I knew he would save the day. I will miss our laughs, him hiding Church's Chicken for us to eat, and most of all - his presence. Life at Tom Benson won't be the same, but I am grateful to have known him.

My mom and I were truly saddened too hear about your passing, you were just like our extended family we would call each other “cousins”. What we will always remember about you is, how beautiful your spirit was and what a bright smile you had. You will be missed

Mr. B was truly a phenomenal man. He was so full of light and his presence is already so greatly missed at Tom Benson. My mornings are so empty without our conversations and I will miss hearing him sing "Jock-a-mo fee na-né" everytime we pass in the hallways. He sure knew how to make a persons day without even trying. I am bless to have gotten to know him, share recipes with him, hear his wisdom, and hear his stories over the past two years. We have lost a great one, someone who impacted so many lives, and he will be missed eternally. My condolences and prayers of peace and healing go to his family.

Mr. B., as he was known to everyone at Tom Benson School, will be deeply missed. He always had a joke and a smile ready to share. My class will especially miss him as he came by several times a day to visit with my students and to make sure that we were not in need of anything.

My most sincere condolences to the family.

I want to share and express how great of a friend/co-worker Mr. B was to me. I missed you today, and I’ll miss you everyday, tears in my eyes and heart full of sorrow, I’ll hold on to the memories of the great times at work. I grieve for what I lost a great friend, awesome co-worker, but mostly giving great advice like a father figure would. I am grateful for the 2yrs God allowed Mr. B to work at our school, hearing his laugh, and would give his last for anyone. Mr. B I really will miss all our conversation. Not knowing that last Friday talking with you and Mrs Tyra in the hallway and you passing by my class to say “Bye Mrs. Frank” was going to be my last time seeing you at school. Didn’t know God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. Our Family Frank-Hicks and Tom Benson School a chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls one by one the chain will link again. We had great memories Mr. B and I will forever cherish our friendship. Rest In Heaven. Kenneth and Lanika Frank-Hicks
