Brooke Ton Obituary
s (Ray), Special cousins, Taylor Ronquillo, Rachel and Jamie, and many more cousins and friends. Brooke was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Simon and Ellamae Ronquillo who welcomed her with open arms at heaven's door, and her paternal grandmother Joyce Ton. Brooke was a graduate of Academy of Our Lady and Our Lady of Holy Cross College. She was pursuing a doctorate degree at the time of her passing. Brooke was a former Eucharistic minister and lector at St. Patrick Church in Port Sulphur. To know Brooke was to love Brooke. She was so smart and thoughtful. She never met a stranger. In her too short time here on earth, Brooke touched more lives and made more friends than most people do in a lifetime. She had an enormous heart and lived life to the fullest and with passion. She had that rare gift of warmth and unselfishness. She often visited her uncle at the nursing home. She joked and cheered him with her sweet nature. She sang to him and with him and was h
is Karaoke Buddy at family parties and events. She loved writing poetry and stories. She also had a passion for song and dance from a young age, and wrote and sang several songs with the voice of an angel. Brooke enjoyed fishing and hunting with her brothers and friends. She brought so much life and joy to our lives and we are much better for having known and loved her. Until we meet again--fly high Beautiful Angel! Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Port Sulphur, LA on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 12noon. Fr. Gerard Stapleton officiating. Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6pm until 10pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning at the church from 9am until 12 noon. Interment, Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, Buras, LA. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com..

I truly do not know what to say to the family and friends of Brooke, but I want you to know this has touched me on a deep level and I am praying for all of you. Brooke is in a much better place; dancing, singing, and flying around watching over all of you. My one most memorable time of seeing Brooke was watching her out in the Bayou one 4th of July at the beach riding her wave runner with such life, happiness, and excitement. I remember thinking to myself that day, she sure is not scared of anything. I am sure she is at peace and would want all who loved her to be at peace also. Many blessings to Lynda, her children, and family. I know Brooke will be missed, but as we all know from our teachings, you will all see her again. God bless you and God bless Brooke.

I'm so sorry to get the news about Brooke. She and I spent some good quality time together at a fitness camp and you might think a woman in her 50's may not room well with a gal in her 20's but we got along great right from day 1. I have a very vivid, treasured memory now of our last time together...she hugged me tight, full-on, huge bear hug, and she told me how much she appreciated my friendship and that she was glad she met me. Brooke and I attended many classes together at the University of Holy Cross and graduated together. Brooke always had a smile on her face. She was a joy to be around. I can now more than ever see she was loved by many. The one thing I know for sure is that she loved her family. I barely new Brooke as a person, but the one thing I could see that she expressed clearly was that she loved her family. I wish I could've gotten to know her better.

Brooke defended all those she loved with a passion of the pure in heart.
In 1813 Lord Byton wrote a poem that would be most appropriate in describing Brooke:

Our family would like to take this time and say we are so very sorry for y'all loss if such a sweet and beautiful Angel( Brooke). I've met her a few times and may have talked to her a handful of times, but those times... She was such a sweetheart and very loving. We send our prayers and heart to u all and if there's anything we can do for y'all family, we are here. Joel, u was a good friend to both my brothers Ross and Billy, that also left us at such young ages, so I know how u feel sweetie and I can say.... It's not a pain we ever thought we would feel at such an early time. Just know that u not alone and u have friends here that will be there to pick u up when feeling down.
