Bruce Raymond Farrell, age 71, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born in New Orleans, LA on December 11, 1949. He was a graduate of East Jefferson High School in 1968. After serving in the United States Navy, Bruce worked in finance before becoming the president and owner of Campbell Cabinets in 1994. He continued building the company's success until his unexpected passing. He was Treasurer of the Jefferson Parish Chapter of the Alliance for Good Government. Bruce was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and loved family vacations. Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sarah; sons, Bruce J. Farrell (Tasha) and Jason Farrell (Michelle); stepson, Christopher Earl Smith Jr. (Jennifer); stepdaughter, Kimberly Black (Beau); his brother, John J. Farrell (Louise); sister, Brenda Farrell Hale (Michael); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bruce's greatest joy was his 10 grandchildren: Megan, Chris, Jacob, Braden, Chase, Bryce, Emerson, Jensen, Camille and Chloe. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Farrell Jr. and Iris Abney Farrell. Bruce will always be loved and never forgotten. We will miss his contagious smile, witty personality, silly jokes and keen ability to make his family and friends laugh. Visitation will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10:30 am - 11:00 am for family and 11:00 am - 1:00 pm for the public followed by a Memorial Mass. Bruce will be so missed. He was always ready with a joke and a smile. Loved talking with him about politics. He always had something profound to say and I will miss talking with him. God bless your soul and rest in peace, my friend.
