Melissa, Brad and George,

We are very saddened to learn of Bryan's passing. Please know that Bryan will always remain in our hearts and in our best kept memories. We both have his name "Bean" at the very top of our phone lists. Right were it belongs; exactly where it will stay. Fred still keeps a check list of things he and Bean discussed most frequently: a bike (motorcycle)ride up River Road followed by lunch at Montegue's place; canoe trips in the Honey Island Swamp; and fishing trips with Brad and George in the old "Popyey boat" going down the West Pearl River south into Lake Borgne. Brad and George please know that the canoe and boats are available for your use anytime, weather and mom permitting.

So very few people can constantly touch your life and give a joy to the surroundings, this is the best way to describe Bryan. He looked to the best in people and always had a laugh to help everone see the best side of life. He was a true believer in a good time and will be deeply missed.

Meilssa and family;
Ido not know Bryan, but he was a "partner" in this company but what the colleagues coment,he was a nice guy,and that´s not easy to find in a big company like this, where everybody is so busy, and where it´s nice to know that when you need help there is always somebody that will pick-up the fhone when you have a hard time.
May God bless you and your family during these times.

Meilssa and Family,

I came to know Bryan through my years of service at Cooper and more recently with Marine. I was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. While we often spoke on the phone, the last time we were together was at a customer golf match in Memphis.

He brought so much fun to the game, we just quit keeping score, and simply enjoyed the day. He had such a zest for life, and brought joy to those around him.

That is how I will remember Bean.

Melissa, may God bless you and your family during these times.

Although I knew the reason that Bryan was not in his office for some time, I was shocked to find this message this morning.
After working together on some service jobs, him in Houston and me in Rotterdam, I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan during a training in Rauma (Finland) in February 2007.

Shortly thereafter he, and a lot of other people in his office, helped our office (RR in Rotterdam) with a dry-docking project in the Houston area, where at some point 25 RR Engineers were attending the vessel.
We are still thankful for all the work he did then, he really helped us out.

I still have the best memories of that time in Rauma.
Although our stay there was only a couple of days, we had some good discussions, we shared views on the work we all do and found out that we were all dealing with similar challenges.
Sure we had a beer or two and yes, we had a lot of laughs.

For his family and friends: Please accept sincere condolences from myself and the colleagues in the Benelux office.

For Bryan: Thank you!

My deepest condolences.
I have known Bryan for many years through the job in Rolls and have many fond memories of him. Good banter on the phone with the occasional visit to NOLA and the chance to eat seafood and drink beer with a Fine colleague.

I had the pleasure of working with Bryan on several occasions and meeting him in Rauma, Finland. At a training session. These times has always been a pleasure and Bryan had a true southern comeback line for all dull moments.
He will be sorely missed.

Melissa, Brad & George,

My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I worked with Bryan for seven years at RR and he always made me feel needed and appreciated. Bryan believed in people and that is a rare and beautiful gift. I am proud to have had the change to work with him and will miss him greatly. With his guidance I have been able to accomplish much and for that I am forever grateful. Bryan was more than just a Manager to me; he was a friend and advisor, very much like a second father to me. Always a kind word to give, or just that little advice, what ever was needed to make you stop and think before you acted, that is the Bryan I will remember always. He let me know, he would always be there watching out for me and I know he will continue to do so, just in a different way.

He will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. I will miss his humor, kindness, and presence in our office. But, I will never forget all that he has done for me. Nor will I forget what he has meant to me.

God bless you all and keep you safe.

Love always,

I had the privilege of knowing Bryan for a long time - we grew up in the same neighborhood, attended the same grammar school and high school and were in the band together in high school. He was a year or two ahead of me, but I can still remember how full of life Bryan was back then. Then, more than 20 years later our paths crossed again when he came to work at Rolls-Royce. He and I both enjoyed talking about "old times" from the hood and catching up on the years in between. I had the pleasure of joining Bryan and some of his friends for a couple of rides to the Gulf coast - it was always a great time. He was the same Bryan I remembered from years past and it was obvious how well liked and respected he was by both friends and colleagues. I am fortunate to have known Bryan then and now and he will be missed greatly. Bryan, thanks for everything! Ride on !!

February 27, 2009

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I have been privileged to have known Bryan for the past several years, while working with Rolls-Royce. We both shared a passion for motorcycles. I remember a couple of years ago when I bought a new bike - he had heard about it and asked for me to forward a picture. I did and he was rather impressed that "a girl" could ride such a bike. Last March, while I was in New Orleans for Service Administrator meetings, Bryan joined us for dinner and he had arrived on his treasured Harley. I have a picture of me sitting on his bike with the whole gang including him standing along side. I fondly remember our chat at dinner, his recommendation of what I should have for dinner (not an easy task as I don't care for spicy food) and his generosity of allowing us to admire his bike even though it was getting late and it had already started to rain. He didn't rush us off - he was a true gentleman and our team in Service Americas won't be the same. My sincere condolences to his family. May God bless you during this time. May he wrap his arms around you.

The one story that is a microcosm of Bryan’s life is when planning his funeral he was asked to pick 6 pallbearers. Bryan replied “I have too many friends I can’t pick six.” Someone replied ok pick eight. Bryan replied “guess I’m going to have to be cremated.”
If wealth is a product of the number of friends you have, Bryan was the richest man I ever meet. And to the end his only concern was not offending anyone and to bring a little humor to the situation.
