Byron Herbert Obituary

Byron S. Herbert passed on April 6, 2016. Byron attended Walter L. Cohen High School and Oakwood University. He retired from the Federal Government with 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents: John E. Herbert, Sr. and Lenora S. Herbert; siblings: John Earl Herbert, Jr., Pamela H. Johnson and Arlene H. Camille. He leaves to cherish his precious memories to his wife, Christine Herbert and his children: Byron Herbert, II (Sherlita) of Columbia, MD; Christofer Herbert (Sherrenise) of No. Richland Hills, TX and Rozier Herbert of Bossier City, LA. Also survived by one brother: Ken Herbert of Birmingham, AL; five grand-children, two sisters-in-law: Veronica O'Hara-Herbert of Birmingham & Loyce A. Davis of Miami, FL; two Aunts: Doris Butler of Los Angeles, CA and Flora Herbert of Metairie, LA, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends including his life-long neighbors, the Edwards Family. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at the New Orleans First SDA Church, 4201 West Esplanade Ave, Metairie, LA 70006.
