My dearest best friend from St. John A.M.E. Your mom had such a significant impact on my life that I can not even put it into words! From our days at church, the void she filled as a surrogate mother to me after my parents divorce, to her guidance when we were at Karr - she will be immensely missed. May you and Sharrell be strong and stay encouraged. I am so proud of the woman you have become and I know its mostly attributed to having Carol as your mother. Be blessed my friend!

Jeanene, I am so sorry for your lost. Your mother was a very strong woman who fought very long. When I found out all I could think about was us reading our "Daily Word" on our way to school every morning,lol. I will keep you and your family in my prayers through this difficult time. But God in all of his wisdom knows when the time has come to call someone home. We must all remember that God does not put more on us than we can bear. God desired another busy angel to sit around his throne, so He called Carol Lee Pierre Gabriel from labor to reward.

A golden heart stopped beating; a determined spirit is at rest. God broke your hearts to prove to you, He only takes the very best!
Difficulties arise in the lives of us all. What is most important is dealing with the hard times, coping with the changes, and getting through to the other side where the storm, where the sun is still shining just for you.
It takes a strong person to deal with tough times and difficult choices. Nevertheless, you are a strong people. It takes courage. But you possess the inner courage to see you through. It takes being an active participant in your life. But you are in the driver’s seat, and you can determine the direction you want tomorrow to go in.
Hang in there and take care to see that you do not lose sight of the one thing that is constant, beautiful, and true Carol Lee Pierre Gabriel. Everything will be fine and it will turn out that way because of the special kind of person Carol Lee Pierre Gabriel was.
So beginning today and lasting a lifetime through ~ hang in there, and do not be afraid to feel like the morning sun is shining. Just for you!
