Carolyn Elizabeth Parsons

1931 - 2021

Mrs. Carolyn E. Parsons age 90 of Timber Ridge Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Saturday November 27, 2021 at Stonehenge Assisted Living in Blairsville, GA. following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late James and Olga (Holm) Johnson. Prior to moving to Blairsville, she lived forty eight years in Augusta, GA. She was active in several Civic Women's Organizations, especially the Garden Clubs of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne S. Parsons, her son, David Parsons, daughter, Jean P. Mallory, a sister, Harriett Van Buren and two brothers, Walter and Kenneth Johnson. Carolyn was a member of the Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in Augusta. Surviving Mrs. Parsons are a sister, Susan L. Valenti of Tacoma, WA., one son, James C. (Connie Shrader) Parsons of New Orleans, LA., one daughter, Linda (Michael) Stewart of Blairsville, GA., seven grandchildren, Michael Stewart Jr., Erica Oden, Katherine, Douglas and Kenneth Stewart, Daniel and Heather Mallory, ten great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive. Interment will follow at a later date in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. where she will rest with her beloved husband Wayne. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Homestead Hospice or to a favorite charity of your choice in Carolyn's memory.
