Charles Peter "Chuck" Stiebing Jr.

1937 - 2024

Charles Peter Stiebing, Jr. (Chuck) passed away at the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in New Orleans, LA on May 29, 2024. He was 87 years old. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janice Leblanc Stiebing; his children Charles (Bridget) Stiebing, III, Douglas Stiebing, Bruce (Jayne) Stiebing, and Easton (Stephanie) Stiebing; his grandchildren Brittany (Casey) Kauffman, Courtney (Mason) Long, Valerie (Shane) Simoneaux, Andrew (Laura) Stiebing, Elizabeth Stiebing, Bruce (Melissa) Stiebing, Jr., Brandon (Kelli) Stiebing, Brian Stiebing, Natalie (Michael) Kelly, Gabrielle (Kevin) Clark and his great-grandchildren: Ryder, Porter, Olive, and Theo Kauffman, Mason II, August, Charlie Mae and Lola Long, Maddox, Rex, Knox and Jax Simoneaux, Baylee and Bowen Kelly, Christian and Easton Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Peter Stiebing, Sr. and Catherine Alberta Eggloff Stiebing, and his sister, Claire Stiebing Pfeffer. His survivors include many relatives (sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews) and numerous friends. Born in New Orleans in 1937 and raised uptown in the Irish Channel, Chuck attended St. Henry's Catholic school and graduated from Warren Easton High School. At 17, Chuck joined and proudly served in the U.S. Navy and Received an Honorable Discharge. He worked in the banking/finance industry for over 40 years. His family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the VA Hospital for providing excellent medical care in the most compassionate and caring way. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am.
