Charlie Booth Obituary

Booth Charlie Booth passed away February 27, 2016 in Ashland, Ore. He was born March 30, 1923 to Charles and Nora (Bradshaw) Booth in Pasadena, Calif. He served in the US Army as a sergeant, in the CBI (China, Burma, India) theater during World War II. Charlie earned his MS in geology from UC Berkeley. He was a geologist with Shell Oil. Charlie was a true 'force of nature,' highly intelligent, and analytical. He will be deeply missed by all. He enjoyed collecting stamps, records, Mardi Gras doubloons (collection is at LSU), WW II books (collection at Palm Springs Aviation Museum), and genealogy. Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia C. Booth; his son, Larry R. Booth (Marcia); and his grandchildren, Wendy Booth and Joshua Pittman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Roxanne M. Pittman. At Charlie's request, there will be no services. Interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario, Calif.
