Charlie Hicks Obituary
Charlie was born in Durham, North Carolina on November 19, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Charlie Wilton and Ella Jean Hicks and Ernest Clarence Payne.
He is survived by his mother Misty Dawn Hicks; brothers James "Preston" Hicks and Kole Douglas Carter; maternal grandparents James Lewis Hicks, Sr. and Martha "Sue" Hicks; great-grandmother Blanche Moss all of Cana, Virginia; uncle and aunt James Lewis Hicks, Jr. and Samantha; cousins Brady Hicks; Maddie Hicks; Mason Hicks and Kinley Hicks.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Donald Bell officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
The family is very grateful for the love and care given to Charlie by the staff at the Duke University Hospital where most of his short life was spent.

I've followed Super Charlie since I heard about him through Prayers for Kinsley/Kinsley Strong. My heart breaks for the whole family. I'd be there in person if possible. God has one Angel more! I found Charlie threw Kinsley and have followed his journey since. I'm going to miss seeing his big, sweet, smile he always had for his momma and her updates on how he was doing. I was so happy when he went home and now my heart is broken. RIP little Warrior. I send my condolences to Misty and all of his family. Thank you for sharing your baby with us.
