Chester Clark Obituary

Chester Benjamin Clark, 90 years old of Pumpkin Center, Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, at the Academy Memory Care Home. He was born on December 7, 1924 in O'Kean, Arkansas. Devoted husband of Ollie Sue Pockrus Clark for 67 years and loving father of Ronald B. Clark (Harriet), Carolyn C. Matherne (Leslie), Steve A. Clark (Liana), Robert L. Clark (Lisa) and Judy C. Lea (Leon). Preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Sue Clark and his parents, Sam B. Clark and Margaret Ella Clark. A proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Chester enjoyed visiting with family and friends, building roads, operating heavy equipment and helping those around him wherever he went. Special thanks to Peggy Stahls, the ladies who took excellent care of our father at the Academy House and Notre Dame Hospice. Family and friends are invited to attend a wake service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., from 6-9 pm onThursday, April 30, 2015 and a funeral service at Griffin Culpepper Funeral Home, 105 North Second Street, McGehee, Arkansas on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 10-11 am. Internment will follow at Dermott City Cemetery, Gaines Street, Dermott, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
