Claude Hopkins

Claude "Money" Hopkins entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Son of the late Norah and Florence Banks Hopkins Jr.; devoted companion of Nedra Wilson; brother of Elaine Bias, Norah (Karen) Hopkins III, Naomi (the late Alton) Hill, Don (Mattie) Hopkins, Toni Hopkins-Brown (Percy) of Harker Heights, TX, Sherry Hopkins, the late Lionel (Hannalore) Barrow, Sylvia (Harrison) Shampine, Fern (Talmage) Lawson and Bruce Hopkins; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Claude was a gifted poet with a servant's heart. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of Next Generation of Original Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Church and Little Zion Baptist Church; also employees of The First 72, Orleans Parish Criminal District Court and Lowes are invited to attend the Funeral Service Friday, January 6, 2023, beginning 10:00 a.m. at Next Generation of Original Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Church, 3536 St. Ferdinand Street, Rev. Tyrone Smith, pastor, officiating. Church visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment Providence Park Cemetery.
