Claudia Brooks McGee passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at her home in Saint Rose, Louisiana. She was born on June 12, 1940 to the late Charles Brooks and Claudia Williams Brooks. She was married to the late Minister Luther McGee, Jr. on May 19, 1956. Mother of Debra McGee Neal (Herbert), Toni McGee Crushfield (Leroy), the late Claudia Jean McGee, Luther McGee, III (Denise), Raye McGee (Harriet), Faye McGee Cockrham (Victor), the late Thelbert A. McGee (Bernardette), Damieon McGee and D'Vosha Larie McGee. Godmother of Eunice Logan. She was the grandmother of Dwan Neal, Jarrell Neal, Claudia Swift (Vernon), Raye McGee, Ryan McGee, Rachael McGee, Victor Cockrham, Jr., Nile Jordan Cockrham, Thelbert McGee, Jr. (Malaysia), Baswana Delpit (Hurlin), Brittany McGee, Torre McGee, Daijhanee McGee, Chance Damieon McGee, Carlton Royal (Tye), Niyah Session and Bailey McGee. Great-grandmother of Brandon Neal, Jarrell Neal, Jr., Dajuan Malik Neal, Mekhai Marsh, Victoria Swift, Vernon Swift, Jr., Jay Jackson, Jeremiah McGee, Imari Morris, Aniya Morris, Che'Mon, Thelbert, III, Levi McGee, Heirin Delpit, Blaize Thompson, Deizel Thompson, Amir Varnado, and Carsyn Royal. She was the beloved aunt of a host of nieces and nephews. She was the youngest of her siblings and was preceded in death by all...Fleming, Herman, Stanley, Fletcher, Charles, Joseph and Irvin Brooks and Audrey Knoten and Loretta Allen. She was a dedicated employee of Sears for over 30 years. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 9:00am-10:30 am at Richardson Funeral Home, 11112 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge, LA. Face mask are required. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 am at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA.
