Cletoria Kelly Reid

REID Cletoria Kelly Reid, age 92, passed away on August 23, 2012. Visitation will be Monday, August 27, 2012, at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. with services immediately following. Burial will be Highland Cemetery. She was the beloved wife of the late Curtis S. "Cotton" Reid; mother of Eleanor "Vicky" Brady of Slidell, LA , Elizabeth "Liz" Lexow of Metairie, LA, and the late Judith Ann and Curtis "Steve" Reid, Jr.; mother-in-law of Patrick L. Brady, Sr. and William "Bill" Lexow; grandmother of Dr. Patrick Brady (Johnny) and Darryl Brady (Kelly) of Slidell, LA, Kelly Tillman Galjour (Gaston) of Metairie, LA, William F. Lexow of New Orleans, LA, and the late Katherine Brady; great-grandmother of Gaston Tillman Galjour and Oliver Reid Galjour; sister of Ruth Johnson of Corpus Christi, TX, the late Helen Cranford and Mary Odom. Mrs. Reid was always active in her children's lives, acting as a room mother and Girl Scout leader. She loved to read and sew, and was an avid sports fan, especially football and tennis. Mrs. Reid was known for her independent spirit. In later years, after her husband's death, she was a sales representative for Wells Television and did alterations for Village Lady stores. She was born in Mt. Olive, MS, was a past resident of Hattiesburg, MS, New Orleans, LA, and most recently Metairie, LA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Fidelis Care Group, Michelle and Judy Robert, and especially Andrea Batiste and Rasha Batiste-Williams, and to Amanda Lewis, who took such tender care of her in her later years.
