Clyde Z. Magee

Clyde Z. Magee died peacefully at his home of natural causes in New Orleans, LA, Sunday 6/12/ 2022. He was born in Tylertown, MS in 2/22/1921. After uniting with the love of his life Evelyn, they relocated to New Orleans, LA in the 1950/'s where he established a successful business; Magee and Son salvage industry, as an entrepreneur. He later purchased real estate throughout LA and MS to provided housing to the Lower 9th Ward and in the Slidell, LA community. Mr. Magee will be remembered as a brilliant advisor to many who sought his advice on how to own businesses and succeed. In addition to his work, he loved old antique cars and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his great wit, intellectual, curiosity, and astounding range of knowledge on a vast array of topics such as the Bible and economy. He was active at Magee and Son wrecking yard and he remained active, never retired until he passed away at 101 years old. He was preceded in death: wife Evelyn Magee of 79 years, who passed away 7 months ago at 95 years old. 2 sons, Malcolm and Randolph Magee, 3 grandchildren, Sherrie Johnson, (Keith) Shelton Jr., and Trina Magee; 2 great grandchildren; David Magee Jr., and Christ Magee. He leaves to mourn: his children; Shelton, Lemar (Lorrine), Curry (Kathy), Quentella (Alvin) Imogene (Gerald), Linda, Willence (Emmanuel).
