To the Family of my Soror,
Cora was a very sweet person. She was so enthusiastic, fun and joyful. I enjoyed knowing her only for a short time. She will be truly missed.
May you all find peace in knowing she is smiling down on you all waiting to see you again. God knows your pain.

Soror Harris was one of my role models! My first memory of her is at Breakfast for M'Lady at the Holiday Rivermont. She was wearing yellow feathers.....in her yellow outfit, in her yellow hat and of course it matched her light skin tone! At that time, my parents always pointed out tall women who knew who to carry themselves,,,Callie Stevens, Annette Hubbard Roberts. They were nice ladies but they did not have that flair that she did!
Later, at Hamilton High School, I became her special student/assistant. And, even though I eventually took AP Biology from her, the main thing I remember are the neumonics she taught us for cell division...my old sexy sister!
The last time I saw Mrs. Harris was when she came here to Mobile as a vendor for a Delta Meeting. She was looking good and flashy as ever! I received an invitation to her birthday party last year but could not attend. How I wish I had at least sent a card....
I hope that my memories of your loved one will somehow comfort your in this difficult time.

Of all my high school teachers, Mrs. Harris was my favorite. It could have been because we shared the same last name and that she was so kind and caring to me. I was known for asking a lot of questions, but Mrs. Harris never ever shirked a one. She made me feel like she was genuinely concerned about my education.
I pray that God will comfort you during your time of sorry.
I look forward to seeing Mrs. Harris again in Heaven.
I feel she earned her wings teaching us how to fly.
